Our Staff
David J. Gorenz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, and a Certified Alcohol and other Drugs Counselor. David has over 30 years experience in a variety of human service settings, including: community organization, mental health and developmental disabilities, addictions, crisis intervention, administration, long term care, home health, hospice, and hospital social work, child welfare, Christian Counseling, staff training and development, and individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. He has worked extensively with children and adolescents as well as with geriatrics. David is fluent in Spanish and has provided psychotherapy and clinical assessments in Spanish for many years.
Shelley Gorenz is a licensed social worker and a licensed clinical professional counselor. Shelley has 35 years of experience working with individuals and families with an emphasis on mental health and children/adolescent issues. Shelley is also a certified teacher and a certified school counselor.
Both Shelley and David have extensive experience providing in-service trainings on a variety of topics. Gorenz Counseling and Consulting, Ltd. currently has a contract with a local school district to provide Student Assistance Program to district students.
